Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how VNBOT ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the Squait mobile application ("App").

By using Squait, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the App and delete your account.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: data you provide directly, data generated automatically as you use the App, and data from your device.

We do not collect payment card details — payments are handled by Google Play (and Apple App Store where available) and governed by their privacy policies. See Section 6 for how purchases are processed.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your account and authenticate you securely.
• To deliver the core features of the App: workout tracking, AI form feedback, and voice coaching.
• To generate personalised workout recommendations based on your history and goals.
• To diagnose crashes and fix bugs, improving stability for all users.
• To send important notices about the App (security updates, terms changes) — not marketing.
• To comply with applicable laws and legal obligations.

We do not use your data for automated profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers: Firebase (Google) for database, file storage and authentication; Google Play and RevenueCat for purchases and subscriptions (Section 6); OpenAI and Anthropic for AI analysis (Section 8); cloud hosting providers for backend infrastructure. These parties process data only on our behalf and under confidentiality obligations.
• Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users.
• Business transfers: If VNBOT is acquired or merges with another entity, your data may be transferred. We will notify you before this occurs.

Any data shared with third-party service providers is limited to what is strictly necessary for the service they provide.

5. On-Device Processing

Squait's AI form coaching uses your device camera in real time. Pose estimation runs entirely on your device using a local machine learning model. No video footage, images, or pose keypoints are transmitted to our servers at any time. Voice commands are also processed locally and are not recorded or stored. When you ask for AI form feedback, only a text summary of the session (joint angles and detected issues) is sent, as described in Section 8.

6. Purchases and Subscriptions

Squait Pro subscriptions are sold through Google Play. Payments are processed by Google Play; we never see or store your card or other payment details.

We use RevenueCat, Inc. as our subscription processor. To link a purchase to your Squait account, RevenueCat receives your Squait account identifier (your Firebase user ID) and the purchase receipts Google Play issues for it (product, purchase and renewal dates, renewal and refund status). We use this only to unlock Pro, show your plan status, and stop renewal when you delete your account.

7. Free Trial and Device Identifier

Each device can start one free trial. To enforce this, when you start a trial the App sends your device's Android ID to our server, which stores only a salted, one-way SHA-256 hash of it. The raw Android ID is not stored. The hash cannot be reversed to identify your device or you.

This hash is kept after you delete your account, so that deleting and re-creating an account cannot be used to obtain repeated free trials.

The same hash is also stored, together with the code, when you redeem a gift code, and it is likewise kept after you delete your account, so that the same code cannot be redeemed again on the same device.

8. AI Processing

Some features send data to third-party AI providers, OpenAI and Anthropic, to generate results: meal photos and meal descriptions you submit for nutrition analysis, body-metric photos you choose to analyse, your profile and goals for workout plans, and text summaries of your workout form (joint angles and detected issues, never images or video). These providers process the data only to return a result to Squait.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your account and workout data for as long as your account is active.

In-app deletion (Profile → Delete Account) is immediate: when you confirm, Squait cancels any Pro renewal, deletes your account data and files, deletes your RevenueCat customer record, and removes your sign-in account. Paid Pro time that remains will not be refunded. For a deletion requested by email, we delete all associated personal data within 30 days.

After deletion we keep only: the device identifier hash described in Section 7; billing and transaction records where the law requires it (these are held by Google Play, not VNBOT); and aggregated, anonymised analytics that cannot identify you. See our account deletion page for the full list.

10. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted data transmission (TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls restricted to authorised personnel. We conduct periodic security reviews of our infrastructure.

No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at the address below.

11. Children's Privacy

Squait is not directed at children under 13 years of age (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us.

12. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data. To exercise any of them, contact us at the address in Section 15.

We will respond to all requests within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

13. International Transfers

VNBOT is headquartered in Vietnam. Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure adequate protection is in place in accordance with applicable law.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via in-app notification or email at least 7 days before the change takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

Your continued use of Squait after a change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
